Yusufov was born in Norfolk, Virginia and grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia and Virginia Beach. He received his bachelor of science degree from James Madison University in 2015. He previously managed an independent car dealership and has worked for T-Mobile for five years.

In his free time, Yusufov enjoys spending time outdoors, jamming on the saxophone and long-boarding.
