Thomas-Worthington was born in Florida but lived in New Jersey until she was 14, when she moved to Virginia Beach. She had three daughters and eight grandchildren. Before her recent move to the Outer Banks, she volunteered with the Lion’s Club of Chesapeake and served food at the Union Mission in Norfolk. In her free time, Thomas-Worthington enjoys working on interior design projects.
