W.C. & A.N. Miller, a Long & Foster Company, today announced that Harrison Beacher has been named among the top 50 finalists in the 2015 Class of 30 Under 30. The event is organized by Realtor Magazine, the official publication of the National Association of Realtors.
The 30 Under 30 program recognizes rising young agents based on qualities such as commitment and dedication to the real estate industry, creativity and ingenuity, the level of service they offer to their clients, sales volume and anecdotal information about mentors who have helped them in their careers. Launched by Realtor Magazine in 1999 as a way to showcase young talent, the publication has received thousands of applications from qualified candidates.
Beacher, who is 28 years old and became an agent in 2008, is committed to sharing his knowledge and expertise with his clients, the general public and his fellow agents. In 2014, he earned $9.4 million in individual sales, representing more than 20 transactions. Beacher is an expert in working with millennials and first-time homebuyers, and his first-time homebuyers seminar has become so well known that some of his classes are held at the Washington, D.C., Department of Housing and Community Development. Beacher is a member of the Great Capital Area Association of Realtors and serves on the Your Professional Network committee and is the communications chair. Additionally, he is well versed in social media and often shares his knowledge with his fellow real estate agents.
“I am honored to be considered out of the thousands of agents across the country who applied to Realtor Magazine’s 30 Under 30 program,” Beacher said. “This is the biggest achievement of my career thus far and I’m proud to be included in such a great group of talented and hard-working real estate agents. It’s wonderful to be recognized for doing the work I love. Real estate has been a way to help assist in making my clients homeownership dreams come true, as well as give back to the D.C. community. I look forward to serving my clients and community for many years to come.”
“I have worked with Harrison for more than six years now as his manager and mentor, and he has had a truly meteoric rise in the business over the past three years,” said Nathan Carnes, manager of the W.C. & A.N. Miller office. “Harrison has been very methodical and determined in how he has built his business. All along the way he has tried to give back to the community, whether it’s volunteering for fundraisers, teaching his colleagues social media or bringing homebuying education to area residents. He is very worthy of this award, and I am extremely proud to have him in our firm.”
Under the recognition program, the final winners are selected by a panel of judges. In addition, the candidates’ peers are encouraged to vote for their favorites online beginning March 20. The candidate who garners the most online votes is guaranteed a spot among this year’s 30 Under 30, while the remaining 29 will be chosen by the judges. All of the honorees will be featured in the May/June issue of REALTOR Magazine.
“We are proud of Harrison Beacher and of all the W.C. & A.N. Miller and Long & Foster sales agents who have previously been named finalists and who have been inducted into Realtor Magazine’s 30 Under 30,” said Boomer Foster, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “We recognize the importance this honor represents to W.C. & A.N. Miller and to our industry and we congratulate Harrison on his accomplishments. Being named a finalist to the 30 Under 30 program demonstrates his hard work and leadership.”
