Real estate professional brings over 30 years of sales, management experience
Real estate veteran Bill Jourdan has been named manager of Long & Foster Real Estate’s Kingstowne and Springfield offices in Alexandria and Springfield, Va., respectively. Jourdan brings over 30 years of real estate sales and management experience to his new leadership position at Long & Foster, the No. 1 independent residential real estate company in the United States.
Jourdan most recently served as the manager at Long & Foster’s Alexandria/Old Town Historic District office, where he had been part of the leadership team since 2006. There, Jourdan helped his agents to achieve success in all aspects of their real estate businesses through comprehensive training and business development programs. From private coaching to group mentoring, Jourdan established a number of opportunities to help his agents stay on track and become accountable for their successes, and he looks forward to doing the same at Long & Foster’s Kingstowne and Springfield offices.
“It’s a tremendous opportunity for me to lead the teams of distinguished agents at Long & Foster’s Springfield and Kingstowne offices, and I look forward to helping these real estate professionals to achieve even greater success in the business,” Jourdan said. “While I’ll miss working with our staff and real estate agents in the Old Town/Historic District office, we plan to collaborate and work on joint endeavors, which will benefit both our offices going forward.”
Jourdan started his real estate career in Richmond, Va., in 1976, working with Bowers, Nelms and Fonville—a firm which Long & Foster later acquired. Early in his career, Jourdan sold real estate and managed rental properties for a number of years. He joined Long & Foster’s Alexandria/Old Town Historic District office in 1994, where he worked as a top producer before taking a management role with the company’s Alexandria/Mount Vernon office in 2003. He held that position until 2006 when he returned to the Alexandria/Old Town Historic District office as its manager.
“Supporting today’s real estate sales professionals takes a highly knowledgeable, experienced leader,” said Boomer Foster, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “We are confident that adding Bill to the Long & Foster leadership team in our Kingstowne and Springfield offices will result in the synergy that our agents thrive on. This is how our company has continued to help local buyers and sellers meet their homeownership goals for more than 45 years.”
