Long & Foster Real Estate, the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, has announced that its West Chester, Pa., office will recognize the company’s annual Community Service Day by volunteering at the Devon Horse Show on May 27. The Devon Horse Show benefits Bryn Mawr Hospital, and the Long & Foster team from West Chester will be serving food and assisting with any other needs the organization may have during the event.
The West Chester office will be just one of Long & Foster’s nearly 180 sales offices throughout the firm’s seven-state, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions to perform service projects within the communities they serve, according to Debbie King, branch manager of the office.
“We are excited to get out into the community and give our time to a great cause,” King said.
Long & Foster sales associates and employees from throughout the company, including staff from its headquarters located in Chantilly, Va., will participate in a variety of volunteer activities such as working to clean up, refurbish and repair nearby parks, schools, shelters, homes, day care centers and local organizations that provide crucial services to the community.
“This event is a long-standing demonstration of Long & Foster’s commitment to the communities we serve,” said Jeffrey S. Detwiler, president and chief operating officer of The Long & Foster Companies, parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Our sales associates and staff thoroughly enjoy contributing their time, effort and donations to make an impact in their local communities. Long & Foster truly believes in the spirit of giving and we’re dedicated to making sure we’re taking care of those around us, whether it’s through our annual Community Service Day event or one of our other many projects, such as the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. We’re glad to give back.”
