The McLean, Virginia office of Long & Foster Real Estate, the largest privately owned residential real estate company in the United States, will take part in the company’s 19th annual Community Service Day. The office will join the brokerage’s more than 220 offices in the day of giving back by volunteering on Wednesday, June 15 at Roer’s Zoofari, a small local zoo, for ChildHelp. The office’s fundraising goal for the project is $1,800, which will help pay for the participants of ChildHelp to go on a trip to Roer’s Zoofari, formerly known as the Reston Zoo.

“This is our 6th year supporting ChildHelp’s field trip to Roer’s Zoofari. Along with our ongoing support of ChildHelp, we enjoy being able to provide the transportation, food and volunteers for this fun trip for the children,” said Sales Manager Rachel Foster.

Long & Foster sales associates and employees from throughout the company, including staff from its headquarters located in Chantilly, Va., will participate in a variety of volunteer activities during Community Service Day. In past years, these activities included cleaning up, refurbishing and repairing nearby parks, schools, shelters, homes and day care centers, and providing other assistance to local organizations that offer crucial services to the community.
