The Strawberry Street office of Long & Foster Real Estate will participate in the Anthem LemonAid fundraising program on July 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sales associates in this office will be giving back to the community by volunteering to sell lemonade outside of their office, located at 409 Strawberry Street in the Fan District of Richmond, Virginia.
Through the LemonAid program, they will raise both money and awareness for the ASK Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Clinic at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. The funds collected will go toward helping local children who are fighting cancer.
“Our urban location, on an active street full of shops and restaurants, is the prime place to support this worthy cause,” said John VanderSyde, manager of the Strawberry Street office. “We have so much to be thankful for in our lives, and our agents recognize this by generously supporting many worthy causes in the community throughout the year.
“Children’s Hospital and the Anthem LemonAid program are organizations we can get behind and wholeheartedly support in order to bring a little help to area children suffering childhood cancer. We trust that passersby and folks who live in the area will stop by to support our efforts.”
