Long & Foster Real Estate is proud to announce that Steve Vutsinas, a sales agent with the Chesapeake, Virginia, sales office, has received the Orchestra Director of the Year award from the Virginia String Teachers Association (VASTA). Vutsinas demonstrated outstanding achievement as an orchestra teacher and conductor, resulting in major advancement of the Grassfield High School Orchestra Program.

Vutsinas has been a professional in the real estate industry for the past two years and closed 13 sales, all while still being employed as a full-time teacher at Grassfield High School. Vutsinas holds two degrees from East Carolina University; one in music performance (violin) and the other in music education. Vutsinas was honored as the 2014 Teacher of the Year at Grassfield High School and was a top-10 finalist for Music Educator of the Year from the Grammy Foundation. He resides in Chesapeake along with his spouse of 27 years, Sandi, and their three children.
