As a military spouse, Thorpe and her family moved many times. She became adept with renting, buying and selling homes and this experience inspired her to become a Realtor. Thorpe discovered a passion for researching areas and seeking quality homes in competitive housing markets and knew she wanted to share this experience with other buyers, sellers and renters.

Before settling down in Virginia and joining Long & Foster, Thorpe worked in communications, marketing and public relations. She has experience working in hotel property management and with national and global chains such as Radisson and Caterpillar, as well as the Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce and the Department of Defense.

Thorpe earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations from the University of Oklahoma. Her education, attention to detail and experience in marketing help her offer outstanding customer service in assisting her clients with all of their real estate needs.
