Two Leading Maryland Real Estate Groups Merge

Long & Foster Real Estate is pleased to announce that two leading Maryland real estate groups, Team Gardiner of Frederick, Md., and The Brandon Brittingham Team of Salisbury, Md., have merged to become The Maryland Group of Long & Foster. Combining the talents of more than a dozen top-producing agents from both sides of the Chesapeake Bay, the new group will serve residential and commercial clients located in every county in Maryland.

“Our two groups have been collaborating successfully for a couple of years now, and our merger is a logical next step for us,” said Douglas Gardiner, team leader of the western office. Gardiner envisions a closely knit partnership offering clients unsurpassed digital exposure for their properties. “Our clients’ listings are going to be seen and featured in a lot more places–and far more predominantly–than they might be with smaller teams.”

Brandon Brittingham, who will lead group members located on the Delmarva Peninsula, said, “Doug often has clients from Frederick, Montgomery, Prince George’s and Howard counties who want to purchase property at or near the beach. Our Delmarva agents will be able to provide expert, localized service to these clients while, conversely, our Delmarva sellers will benefit from a broader pool of potential buyers.”

Both Gardiner and Brittingham have gained industry-wide recognition for their visionary practices, their energetic leadership and their commitment to personalized service. In 2013, The Brandon Brittingham Team completed 266 transactions and was rated by REAL Trends as the No. 1 real estate group in Salisbury and one of the top teams in the United States. Likewise, Team Gardiner was one of the top-producing real estate groups in its region and has been ranked in the top 1 percent of residential real estate sales professionals in North America by REAL Trends. In 2014, the combined group expects to execute more than 350 sales and purchases valued at more than $60 million.

The new group will also benefit from a close association with Allan Dalton, former president and CEO of Realtor.com. Dalton, who is a legendary figure in the real estate industry, suggested the name of the merged company and will continue to offer marketing advice.

Coming soon, The Maryland Group of Long & Foster will list properties on a new, unified website, located at www.MarylandRealEstateGroup.com.
