Settle Down Easy Brewing Joins the Merrifield, Virginia, Business Community

May 15, 2018

Long & Foster Real Estate announced that local brewery, Settle Down Easy Brewing (SDE Brewing), is opening a location projected to open in fall 2018 in Merrifield, Virginia. The brewery and its owners were represented by Jennifer Burke of Long & Foster’s Commercial Division in Tysons, Virginia. Verity Commercial represented the landlord, Schupp Companies.

“Having Settle Down Easy Brewing join our space is exciting,” said Ray Schupp of Schupp Companies. “We’re so glad to offer this new brewing company their first opportunity, and with good beer and a location minutes away from Mosaic District in Merrifield, they’re sure to do great. Thank you to Mara Conners, Ellie Bechtle and Barbara Bechtle of Verity Commercial for finding us Settle Down Easy Brewing through Jennifer Burke at Long & Foster.”

“Settle Down Easy Brewing Co. is delighted to have found our first location that brings us another step closer to creating quality, innovative beer in Fairfax County,” said the company’s owners. “This process was not without its challenges, of course, more than we could have foreseen. But Jennifer Burke at Long & Foster was our stalwart advocate throughout. She was patient, took the time to learn our facility requirements and responded with lighting fast speed.”

“We are optimistic that Fairfax County will be a collaborative partner as we move forward,” SDE Brewing’s owners said. “Indeed, Fairfax County has the opportunity to be an emerging market for the craft brewery community. We hope to create an atmosphere that will bring the community together and emerge as must-visit stop on a Fairfax County suburban beer trail.”

The owners of Settle Down Easy Brewing said they are thankful to work with Schupp and his team for their partnership on their new venture. They said Schupp made it a point to call them and offer his support for SDE Brewing early in the negotiation process—both as a landlord and a future consumer—and he and his team have been fantastic. SDE Brewing’s owners said they hope to open in the fall.

“I’m very happy for the SDE Brewing team, as they have a great community behind them,” said Burke.

“We’re very pleased to have negotiated this transaction,” said Ron Glass, vice president and managing broker of the Long & Foster Commercial Division.
