Long & Foster Real Estate welcomes Ray Milne III to its Shore Drive-Coastal office in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he will specialize in working with homebuyers and sellers.

Milne is managing member of RC3 Consult, LLC currently of Virginia Beach, Virgnia. With over 40 years of combined active duty military, government and civilian contractor experience, he has served both officer and enlisted tours overseas and stateside and has been recognized as an experienced executive leader.

“We are very excited and fortunate to have Ray join our team of highly trained professionals,” said John Powell, managing broker of the Shore Drive-Coastal office.

A 30-year active duty “Mustang Officer,” Milne retired in 2006 as Coast Guard’s Senior Liaison Officer to Director, Central Intelligence and the Department of Homeland Security, Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO). Milne is involved with the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA), National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), and the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC). His business strength is business/contract transformation and optimization, strategic planning and alliances, and military operations and intelligence.

Milne is participating in Long & Foster’s Success Path and Shore Drive-Coastal office training programs, which offer extensive training and resources for agents at any stage of their career. The program’s curriculum includes tools for agents to build their business, mentor-style programs, techniques for prospecting and working with buyers and sellers, skills for negotiating, and more.

“What drew me to Long & Foster was their one-stop service, providing mortgage consultants, insurance support as well as myrid settlement services often necessary with each home purchase or sale. A physical family move, whether it be across town or across the country is a stressful time for all family members and by being able to provide these additional services, it truly can make life much easier for the buyer and seller. I like the thought of being a positive point of light in the process,” Milne said.

Milne is currently on the advisory board for The Kade Project (TKP). The Kade Project is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization with two primary goals – to benefit the local community and to provide support to United States military personnel. As such, TKP provides financial support to local youth for various academic, athletic, community, and social improvement endeavors. Additionally, TKP sends care kits throughout the year to United States military personnel deployed overseas.

A devout family man, Milne and his wife, Connie, enjoy spending time with their son and daughter-in-law and two young grandbabies. They are enthusiastic members of the Signature West Neck Community in Virginia Beach where Milne enjoys golf in addition to all of the other wonderful activities the Hampton Roads area offers.

“The dynamics of today’s residential real estate market are constantly changing. Participating in our Success Path program has provided Ray with the right tools to meet those changing dynamics,” said Larry “Boomer” Foster, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “We welcome Milne to Long & Foster, a company that has helped local buyers and sellers reach their homeownership goals for nearly 50 years.”
