Cindy Ariosa, senior vice president and regional manager at Long & Foster Real Estate, has been elected as Chair of the MRIS Board of Directors. Ariosa, who heads Long & Foster’s Baltimore and Western Maryland region, will serve as Chair of the Board for a one-year term. Long & Foster is the nation’s No. 1 privately owned residential real estate company.

“I’m honored to have been selected as Chair of the Board of Directors for MRIS and look forward to taking on this new role with one of the nation’s largest MLS systems,” said Ariosa. “I’m confident that, working with my peers on the Board, we’ll continue to deliver on MRIS’ mission, providing innovative products and solutions to best serve the business needs of real estate professionals across the Mid-Atlantic.”

Ariosa has served on the MRIS Board since 2006 and previously held the role of Vice Chair. She succeeds Jon Coile, who guided MRIS for the past three years and will continue to serve on the Board as Vice Chair. Through the advisory leadership of Ariosa, MRIS will be focused on creating meaningful industry solutions and delivering innovative products to help real estate professionals be more productive.

In her role at Long & Foster, Ariosa oversees 35 offices throughout the Baltimore area and in western Maryland. She is responsible for the region’s operations and finances, including all budgets, and she leads the area’s recruitment efforts, as well as mergers and acquisitions. Under her leadership, the firm has ranked among the top in Maryland, most recently being named as the Baltimore area’s No. 1 firm by the Baltimore Business Journal.

During her over 25-year career in the real estate business, Ariosa has held numerous leadership positions with industry associations. She served as president on the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors and is currently on the Executive Committee for the Maryland Association of Realtors. Ariosa also represented Long & Foster on the National Association of Realtors’ Board of Directors.

“We are very excited for Cindy’s new role on the Board and look forward to having her continued expertise and insight help guide our Board of Directors. We continue to be committed to evaluate, innovate and bring more tangible value to our stakeholders and customers around the Mid-Atlantic,” said MRIS President & CEO David Charron.
