Long & Foster’s Michael Shor represented buyer and seller in May 2018 sale

Nearly 6.5 acres of vacant land at the intersection of Loisdale and Newington roads in Springfield, Virginia, could soon be transformed. The property, which sold for $3.5 million by Michael Shor of Long & Foster’s Commercial Division in May 2018, is among the highest priced commercial properties of its kind in Fairfax County.  Currently being reviewed by Fairfax County as a potential mixed-use project, the development could house a hotel, restaurant or brewery, and self-storage facility.

“We could see a dramatic transformation to this area once the zoning is approved,” said Shor. “This project will bring additional needed amenities, tax dollars and jobs to both the Springfield and Mount Vernon districts of Fairfax County.”

Shor is known as an expert in the commercial real estate field and is always looking for ways to assist his clients by maximizing a property’s buildable square footage, which often utilizes the concept of mixed use developments.
