Melissa Lockwood Earns Accredited Buyer’s Representative Designation

Melissa Lockwood, a sales associate with Long & Foster Real Estate’s Perry Hall office, has earned the Accredited Buyer’s Representative designation. Long & Foster is the largest privately owned residential real estate company in the United States.

Awarded by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors, the ABR designation recognizes that Lockwood has a unique understanding of homebuyers needs and how to best serve them, specialized information to stay on top of home buying issues and trends, and exclusive resources to share with their clients that provides her with a greater competitive edge in today’s market.

“My approach to the business is acting as a consultant who educates and guides my clients in order to help them move forward with their lives. Acting as their trusted advisor, my purpose is to help them make good decisions that are best for their family,” Lockwood said.

A Realtor since 2007, Lockwood has been affiliated with Long & Foster’s Perry Hall office for nine years, acting as a mentor for new sales associates, as well as serving as a member of the Operations and Efficiency Team. She is a member of Long & Foster’s prestigious Silver Team and Director’s Club in addition to being a recipient of numerous awards for her outstanding customer service.

Lockwood is a member of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors and serves on the Professional Standards Committee. She currently resides in Parkville, Maryland, with her husband, Andy, and their two dogs and chinchillas.
