August 30, 2018

Mary Bowen, a real estate professional for nearly 12 years, has been named managing broker of the Falls Church/Arlington office of Long & Foster Real Estate. Bowen, who brings significant career achievements to her new position, most recently served as managing broker of Long & Foster’s Arlington/Alexandria sales office in South Arlington before it merged with the Falls Church office.

“I am excited for the opportunity to lead the team at Long & Foster’s Falls Church/Arlington office,” said Bowen. “During my career at Long & Foster, I’ve had such fantastic experiences and mentorship working in various offices with many talented agents, and the insight and knowledge I’ve gained through those experiences has helped me teach other agents how to thrive in their careers. I look forward to helping our Falls Church/Arlington agents achieve similar results and further enhance the company’s brand in the Northern Virginia region.”

A native of Fairfax, Bowen began her real estate career as a sales associate with Watson Realty Corp in Northeast Florida in 2007. After relocating back to the Northern Virginia area in the summer of 2009, Bowen joined Long & Foster at the McLean office. In 2013, she took on the role of assistant manager of the McLean office, a position that focused on mentoring and training new real estate associates. Since then, she has been providing expert guidance and support to her office’s agents, helping them to build and grow their businesses.

“Supporting today’s real estate sales professionals takes a highly knowledgeable, experienced leader,” said Karen Kidwell, senior vice president and regional manager of Long & Foster’s Northern Virginia/West Virginia region. “We are confident that expanding Mary’s role within the Long & Foster leadership team in Northern Virginia will result in the synergy that our agents thrive on. This is how our company has continued to help local buyers and sellers meet their homeownership goals for 50 years.”

Bowen is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, where she received her bachelor of science degree in business administration. During her time at the university, she served as managing consultant of the university’s speaking center, where she analyzed and critiqued public speaking presentations for students and led various speaking engagements on behalf of the center.
