Long & Foster’s Strawberry Street Office Designated as Toys for Tots Collection Site

November 25, 2019

Long & Foster Real Estate’s Strawberry Street office is proud to once again be heading up efforts in The Fan for the annual Toys for Tots toy collection campaign.

For well over a decade, the Strawberry Street office has been the designated drop-off site for those who wish to contribute to this worthwhile program coordinated by the United States Marine Corps. This program makes it possible for many children to receive new toys that they would otherwise not receive.

The toys can be donated at the Long & Foster office at 409 Strawberry Street in Richmond. Long & Foster will accept donations of new, unwrapped toys with tags still attached, and will be collecting toys until Dec. 16.

In addition, the agents at the Strawberry Street office will again host a Christmas movie at the Byrd Theatre in Carytown. Anyone who brings in a donation to the Strawberry Street office will receive a ticket or two for a special holiday movie event on Dec. 7 at the Byrd Theatre.

To join in the evening’s festivities, the Marines are planning to attend, and there may also be a surprise visit from Santa. Attendees will be able to sing-along to seasonal favorites with music being played on the Byrd Theatre’s famous Wurlitzer organ.

Gift donations for Toys for Tots will be accepted at the event. Doors open at 4:00 p.m., and the movie begins at 4:30 p.m. Popcorn and refreshments will be provided, and the holiday favorite movie, Elf, will be shown. It is sure to be an evening of fun for both children and adults.
