Real estate brokerage gives back to local communities for 21st annual event

Long & Foster Real Estate agents and employees, including those at the company’s Prince Frederick office in Prince Frederick, Maryland, rolled up their sleeves and took part in the company’s 21st annual Community Service Day on May 27, 2018. Long & Foster’s Community Service Day takes place at its over 220 locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. The annual event provides an opportunity for Long & Foster agents and staff to give back to their communities through a variety of service projects, including food drives, park clean-ups and more.

The Prince Frederick office chose to volunteer with the Chesapeake Stars & Stripes Festival on May 27.  This was our 6th year volunteering for the festival. The Festival is held in Chesapeake Beach and honors our fallen heroes and takes donations for our wounded warriors while providing a day of free family fun including live music, games and food. Agents and employees from the Prince Frederick office greeted the nearly 400 people that attended at the gate by handing out promotional items and taking donations for this worthy cause.

“Community Service Day is a vitally important component of Long & Foster’s corporate culture of giving,” said Jeff Detwiler, president and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, the parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Our team gains a tremendous sense of satisfaction by contributing their time and efforts to the communities in which we live and work.”
