Phil Gerdes, a sales associate with Long & Foster’s Annapolis Fine Homes Sales office in Annapolis, Maryland, has been named as the Rookie of the Year for the company’s Baltimore region as well as companywide.

“Since joining our office, Phil has consistently gone above and beyond, whether he is building relationships with his clients, furthering his knowledge or achieving his sales goals,” said Katherine Davis, managing broker of the Annapolis Fine Homes Sales office. “All of us at the Annapolis Fine Homes Sales office are very proud of Phil, and we’re thrilled to see him earn this recognition.”

Gerdes has demonstrated great leadership and customer service in his growing real estate career. He sold more than $12 million in real estate volume in 2017, earning him a place in the Founders Club on Long & Foster’s Gold Team. He also earned a spot in the Anne Arundel County Association of Realtors Master’s Club, for having at least $6.5 M in settled volume.

“It’s been an amazing first year in real estate and to be honored with the Rookie of the Year Award for both the region and the entire company has been an absolute joy,” Gerdes said. “Being able to work with clients as they achieve their goals while doing something I love is immensely rewarding. I’m thankful to be a part of such a wonderful, supportive company that provides their agents with everything they need to succeed.”

Gerdes began his career in real estate in late 2016, and his previous experiences helped him transition to the industry. As a motivational speaker and top global distributer of a multi-level marketing company for 10 years, he developed the professional sales skills to be successful in real estate.  His wife, Victoria Gerdes, also a licensed real estate agent, manages their business operations.  When not working, the Gerdes’ enjoy spending time with their two young children.

“We congratulate Phil on an outstanding first year in his real estate career, and we are proud to call him a member of the Long & Foster family,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “As a company, we owe our success to our many exceptional agents like Phil, who work diligently to do what they love and guide each client on their journey home. We know he’ll continue to set, achieve and surpass the high goals he sets for himself.”
