Nicole Canole, a sales associate with Long & Foster’s Alexandria/Kingstowne Centre Sales office in Alexandria, Virginia, has been named as the Rookie of the Year for the company’s Northern Virginia metropolitan region as well as companywide.

“Since joining our office, Nicole has consistently gone above and beyond, whether she is building relationships with her clients, furthering her knowledge or achieving her sales goals,” said Lenny Marsh, managing broker of the Alexandria-Kingstowne Centre Sales office. “All of us at the Alexandria-Kingstowne Centre office are very proud of Nicole, and we’re thrilled to see her earn this recognition.”

Canole has demonstrated great leadership and customer service in her growing real estate career. She sold more than $9 million in real estate volume in 2016, earning her a place on Long & Foster’s Gold Team. She also earned a spot in the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors’ Multi-Million Dollar Sales Club. In late 2016, she was appointed to NVAR’s Leadership Institute; a year-long program that helps prepare members of the association for volunteer leadership roles with Realtor associations.

“I am humbled and honored to have been named as Long & Foster’s Rookie of the Year for both my region and the company,” Canole said. “Real estate is something I’ve had an interest in for a long time, and being able to work with people as they achieve their goals while doing something I love and am passionate about is immensely rewarding. I’m thankful to be a part of such a wonderful, supportive company that works hard to make sure we can succeed as agents.”

Canole began her career in real estate in 2015, and her previous experiences helped her transition to the industry. As the owner and lead designer of NiCa Interiors, she worked to provide commercial and residential interior design services. She was also a lead staging professional for a national award winning firm in the Washington, D.C., area and is an Association of Property Scene Designers Certified Stager Pro. Prior to that, she served for eight years in the U.S. military and worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs as a financial policy analyst.

“We congratulate Nicole on the many achievements she has already earned since starting her real estate career, and we are proud to call her a member of the Long & Foster family,” said Larry “Boomer” Foster, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “As a company, we owe our success to our many exceptional agents like Nicole, who work diligently to do what they love and guide each client on their journey home. We know she’ll continue to set, achieve and surpass the high goals she sets for herself.”
