Real estate brokerage gives back to local communities for 19th annual event

The Leesburg and Purcellville offices of Long & Foster Real Estate, the nation’s No. 1 privately owned real estate company, celebrated their annual Community Service Day on June 3. About 20 Realtors and staff from the two offices joined forces to give back to Boulder Crest Retreat (BCR), a wellness center dedicated to serving the country’s veterans and their families. Community Service Day is an annual company-wide event at Long & Foster during which its real estate agents and employees give back to the community.

This was the second year that the Leesburg and Purcellville offices supported BCR, and volunteers assisted the staff at BCR with preparations for their annual fundraiser. Their duties included cleaning, gardening, setting up tables and chairs and decorating for the yearly event. The Leesburg and Purcellville offices were two of the more than 220 Long & Foster offices that participated in the brokerage’s 19th annual Community Service Day. In total, thousands of real estate agents and employees with Long & Foster took part in the day of charitable giving.

“Community Service Day is a vitally important component of Long & Foster and our corporate culture of giving,” said P. Wesley Foster Jr., founder, chairman and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies. “Our Long & Foster family gains a tremendous sense of personal satisfaction by contributing their time and effort to the local communities in which we live and work. At a time when many charities and local organizations have a great need for assistance, we are honored to have the opportunity to help them.”
