Long & Foster Real Estate is proud to announce that Lanny “Doc” Palmer, a sales agent with the Eldersburg office, was recognized as a Melvin Jones Fellow from the Lions Club International Foundation at the 70th Anniversary celebration of the Freedom District Lions Club (FDLC) held at the Best Western Hotel and Conference Center in Westminster, Maryland, on Nov. 8.

Being recognized as a Melvin Jones Fellow is the highest award for humanitarian service that is presented to a person by the Lions Clubs International Foundation. Palmer is a long-time active member of the FDLC.

“Long & Foster is proud that the FDLC has recognized Doc’s many accomplishments and his commitment to humanitarian service. Doc is a true professional in the real estate industry, and his dedication to his buyers and sellers, as well as the greater community, is a testament to his passion for serving others,” said Brian C. Lipsky, manager of the Eldersburg office.

“It’s the commitment to give back to the community by agents like Doc that has enabled him to earn an honor such as this one, and we’re proud to have him as part of the Long & Foster family,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Our company has a reputation of honesty, integrity and best-in-class customer service that spans nearly 50 years, and the talent of professionals like Doc is why we remain the top real estate company in the Mid-Atlantic.”
