Long & Foster’s Corporate Real Estate Services Division Leads Luxury Homes Tour for Chinese Delegation

Chinese journalists and private investors board a yacht for a luxury lifestyle tour.

With blue skies and cool winds, it was the perfect autumn day for a ride on a luxury yacht for representatives of Long & Foster’s Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES),  a division within The Long & Foster Companies, and a delegation of Chinese journalists and private investors. The cruise around Maryland’s Eastern Shore was part of a luxury lifestyle tour, held Nov. 14 and organized by Eric Chen, director of Asia Pacific initiatives for Long & Foster’s CRES division.

“With the increase of Chinese buyers interested in opportunities in the U.S. real estate market, this event allowed us to meet and connect with them in person,” Chen said. “The day was a great success and we plan to hold future luxury lifestyle trips to get to better know our clientele and introduce them to some of our most exclusive high-end properties on the market.”

The guests included members of U.S.-based Chinese media and prospective Chinese investors interested in purchasing luxury real estate on the Eastern Shore. The delegation was hosted by Chen and Pandra Richie, president of the Long & Foster CRES division, as well as other representatives of Long & Foster.

The day began at Annapolis Yacht Sales in Stevensville, Maryland. There, the group boarded a luxury power yacht, provided by Annapolis Yacht Sales, and enjoyed a scenic ride on Prospect Bay with stops at luxury homes along the way. On the first stop, guests were greeted by Jimmy White, a high-end real estate agent with Long & Foster’s Kent Island office, at a stately bay-front home for an exclusive tour. Lunch followed at the lovely Prospect Bay Country Club, where the club’s general manager Jon Vodehnal and PGA Professional Bill Horney presented an overview of the club and its many amenities.

The yacht then transported the group to St. Michael’s, where they met with custom homebuilder, Brent Paquin of Paquin Design/Build. Paquin then escorted the group on a private tour of one of his firm’s homes.

The lifestyle tour was the first of many that Long & Foster plans for the future to help build stronger relationships with the Asia Pacific market. The event was sponsored by Annapolis Yacht Sales, Prospect Bay Country Club, Paquin Design/Build and Jimmy White of Long & Foster Real Estate.
