Long & Foster Real Estate is proud to announce that Cindy Ariosa, senior vice president and regional manager with the Baltimore/Eastern Shore/Western Maryland region, has received the Omega Tau Rho award from the Maryland Association of REALTORS.

Created in 1950, the honorary fraternity of OMEGA TAU RHO is awarded by state and local Associations of REALTORS to members and others that serve the REALTOR organization. Once a medallion is awarded, the recipient is a member for life. This award recognizes exemplary dedication and service, and the high esteem in which recipients are held by fellow members of the REALTOR organization.

“Long & Foster is proud that Maryland REALTORS has recognized Cindy’s many accomplishments and her commitment to the industry,” said Jeffrey S. Detwiler, CEO of The Long & Foster Companies. “Cindy is a true professional in the real estate business, and her dedication to our agents and the total satisfaction of all of our buyers and sellers is a testament to her passion for the real estate industry.”

A 1983 graduate of Towson University, Ariosa has held numerous leadership positions and has received many honors throughout her career. Some of her accomplishments include REALTOR of the Year 2004 and being named to the Swanepoel Power 200 list in 2016 and 2017, which recognizes the most influential individuals in the real estate industry. She has also been named to Inman’s Most Influential List in 2017, as well as one of Maryland’s Most Influential by The Daily Record.

Ariosa is on the Board of Directors for the Greater Baltimore Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors and the Maryland Association of Realtors. She was Chairman of the Board of Directors for MRIS, the largest multiple listing service in the United States. Ariosa also is the treasurer of Bright, the largest multiple listing service, where she serves on the Executive Committee.

The mother of two grown children, Ariosa is a grandmother of two. In her free time, she enjoys the beach and playing golf.

“It’s the commitment of professionals like Cindy that has enabled her to earn an honor such as this one, and we’re proud to have her as part of the Long & Foster family,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Our company has a reputation of honesty, integrity and best-in-class customer service that spans more than 50 years, and the talent of professionals like Cindy is why we remain the top real estate company in the Mid-Atlantic.”
