The Bethesda Gateway office chose to hold a clothing and furniture drive for A Wider Circle (AWC), an organization that provides these items to the needy in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. Leading the efforts were Wendy Banner and Susan Fitzpatrick, both longtime supporters of AWC. While Banner and a dozen associates assisted volunteers from Town & Country Movers in picking up furniture from donors throughout Montgomery County, Fitzpatrick oversaw a large group of agents who sorted the furniture and clothing dropped off at the Bethesda Gateway Office before transporting it to AWC. Several large truckloads of clothing and furniture were collected, and financial donations exceeded $1,200.
