The Annandale office of Long & Foster Real Estate participated in the company’s 20th annual Community Service Day this spring. The Annandale office joined the brokerage’s over 220 offices in the day of giving back to local communities by volunteering at Leewood Healthcare and Adult Day Care Center on June 8.

“The Annandale Agents are always looking for ways to give back to our community. We chose to give back this year by volunteering to spend a couple of hours participating in activities with some of our local seniors at the Leewood Adult Day Care Center, such as playing bingo,” Branch Manager Fatima Pereira-Shepherd said.

Long & Foster sales associates and employees from throughout the company, including staff from its Chantilly, Virginia, headquarters, will participate in a variety of volunteer activities during Community Service Day. In past years, these activities included cleaning up, refurbishing and repairing nearby parks, schools, shelters, homes and day care centers, and providing other assistance to local organizations that offer crucial services to the community.

“Community Service Day is a vitally important component of Long & Foster and our corporate culture of giving,” said P. Wesley Foster Jr., founder, chairman and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, the parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Our Long & Foster family gains a tremendous sense of personal satisfaction by contributing their time and effort to the local communities in which we live and work.”
