Long & Foster Real Estate’s Corporate Real Estate Services Division is doing more to empower its agents to provide high-quality service to international clients. The company’s international initiatives are being led by veteran agent, Shelagh Doyle, who recently received the designation of World Referral Specialist from Leading Real Estate Companies of the World.

Doyle, who is originally from the United Kingdom, has many years of experience working in international relocation. She has lived in France, Germany and Raleigh, N. C., which led to her career in international real estate. She has been working in international destination services for Fonville Morisey, A Long & Foster Company, since 2004.

In the spring, Long & Foster began offering an International Destination Services course, which it has made available on its training platform, Long & Foster Institute of Real Estate. Doyle, who created the course, is working with all agents who completed the course, providing them with referrals and information that will benefit their clients.

“An international move can be difficult and stressful, and filled with logistical details that need to be addressed,” said Pandra Richie, president of Long & Foster’s Corporate Real Estate Services. “We’re so pleased to not only have Shelagh as a such an excellent resource, but to continue training more of our agents in being able to provide exceptional service to those who are planning international relocations.”

Doyle has been working in international real estate for many years, providing local assistance to global corporations who relocate personnel within their companies, including in many industries, such as life sciences, technology and financial services. With our assistance, the employees are able to quickly accomplish the necessary administrative steps. This means they are soon able to focus on their new job or position.

According to Doyle, international resettlement assistance can include a number of factors, such as an orientation tour of the client’s new area, a community orientation, public and private school advisement, home and car rental assistance, utility connection advisement, purchasing a home and much more.

“Working with a real estate agent that is knowledgeable in regards to international moves can truly help ease the process,” Doyle said. “I’m so pleased to be able to share my knowledge and work with the many fantastic agents at Long & Foster who are dedicated to providing top-notch services to their clients.”
