Agents and employees from Long & Foster Real Estate, Prosperity Home Mortgage, LLC and Sage Title in Columbia, Maryland, combined their efforts to hold a fundraiser that collected $2,850 for Neighbor Ride in November. The organization is a volunteer-driven nonprofit that provides transportation to seniors in Howard County so they are able to go to medical appointments, social events, faith services and run errands, such as going to the grocery store.

Richard Watson, a Long & Foster Realtor and Neighbor Ride board member, organized the fundraiser, which was held at local farm brewery Manor Hill Brewing, in celebration of the nonprofit’s 13th anniversary. Those in attendance were able to try a selection of Manor Hill beers, which are brewed on premises, and enjoy catered food. Desserts for the event were donated by Miller’s Grant, a local senior living community.

Long & Foster Real Estate, Prosperity Home Mortgage, LLC and Sage Title sponsored the event. Suzi Padgett, vice president and branch manager of Long & Foster’s Columbia office, sponsored the event location and the beer. Nick Rocco and John Moore, both of Prosperity Home Mortgage, and Christophe Lowther, of Sage Title, provided the catering. Watson covered the cost of ticket processing for the event, as well as sponsor tickets. With all costs for the event covered, 100 percent of the ticket sales were donated to Neighbor Ride.
