Volunteers from Long & Foster's Washington, D.C., offices, together with nonprofit Playtime Project, hosted a holiday party for families at the DC General Homeless Shelter.

Long & Foster agents and employees in the Washington, D.C., area gathered together with nonprofit organization Playtime Project to host a holiday party for families at the DC General Homeless Shelter. The event was part of the 2016 community service initiatives organized by Long & Foster’s D.C. offices. Playtime Project works to support homeless children and families in the District.

Volunteers transformed the event space into a winter wonderland and children were able to participate in holiday arts and crafts, decorate cookies, play games and visit with Santa. A turkey dinner and seasonal sweets were served, and about 125 people attended. Volunteers came from Long & Foster’s Woodley Park, Chevy Chase Uptown and Georgetown offices, as well as DHM Media Group. Organizers from Long & Foster said they were thrilled with the support they received for the event, and thankful to everyone who took part to make the wonderful party possible.
