January 30, 2014

New sales office is located in Centreville Square shopping center

Long & Foster® Real Estate, Inc., the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, opened a new office in Centreville, Va., in early January. The office is conveniently located off Lee Highway (Rt. 29) at 14260-A Centreville Square in Centreville, Va. Valasie August is the Managing Broker of Long & Foster’s new Centreville office, as well as its top-producing Fairfax Centre location.

“Centreville has always been an important market for Long & Foster Real Estate, and by opening our new location, we’re able to better serve the home buyers and sellers in this thriving community,” said August. “It’s our desire to help make good things happen for Centreville residents, and we’re there to help in any way we can.”

The team at Long & Foster is excited to play a greater role in the Centreville real estate market, which has seen many improvements over the past year. In December, the area experienced an 11 percent increase in the number of homes sold compared to December 2012, according to Long & Foster’s Market Minute report. Median sale prices have remained fairly steady (down about 1 percent compared to December 2012), and homes in the area are selling quickly—in less than six weeks on average.

“We’re committed to growing our presence throughout Northern Virginia and Fairfax County, and our new Centreville office allows us to increase our footprint and better serve home buyers and sellers throughout the area,” said Larry “Boomer” Foster, senior vice president of Long & Foster’s Northern Virginia region. “Additionally, having a leader like Val, who’s worked and lived in the area for many years, provides us with a unique understanding of the local market and the needs of its residents.”
