Long & Foster Names Joe Amatangelo President of its Property Management Division

Long & Foster® Real Estate, Inc., the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, has named Joe Amatangelo as the president of its property management division. This business includes property management, resort rentals and rental services. Amatangelo, who has more than 25 years of experience in real estate, property management and multi-family dwelling management, joined Long & Foster in August 2010 as the vice president of residential property management and rental services.

“I’m very pleased to be named president of Long & Foster’s property management division,” said Amatangelo. “I’m confident that with my combination of experience and skills and with the wonderful team of property management professionals we have, we will continue to grow all three areas of our property management business and provide the highest caliber of service to all our clients.”

In addition to his property management experience, Amatangelo has expertise in operations, executive management, accounting, finance and raising equity. Prior to joining Long & Foster, he worked as Chief Operating Officer at Mission Residential and Chief Financial Officer at Kettler Inc. and Kettler Management Corp.

Amatangelo holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is a certified public accountant in the state of Maryland. His real estate license is in the Commonwealth of Virginia and he is a member of both the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) and the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). He has been a featured speaker, moderator and panelist on property management and rental issues at both local and national industry conferences. Amatangelo lives in Annandale, Va., with his two children.
