HomeServices of America Brokerages Come Together to Form Dominant Brokerage in Anne Arundel County and Maryland’s Eastern Shore

Long & Foster Real Estate and Champion Realty have joined forces, creating the dominant real estate brokerage in Anne Arundel County and the Eastern Shore of Maryland.* Champion is a residential real estate brokerage that, like Long & Foster, is part of HomeServices of America, a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate. Combined, the Long & Foster and Champion teams lead the local market in home sales.

Champion is led by Jon Coile, a real estate professional with over 30 years of experience. Coile has been part of the Champion team since 1988—18 months after his brother Chris founded the company. Since then, Champion has grown into a seven-office brokerage with about 200 associates. Going forward, the Champion team will operate under the Long & Foster brand, and the companies will merge several of their locations over the coming weeks.

“With Champion and Long & Foster operating as a single team, we’ll build upon our market-leading status throughout Maryland, benefitting our sales associates, as well as their buyers and sellers,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate.

Jon Coile echoed Scott’s sentiments. “Both Long & Foster and Champion have built exceptional real estate teams and trusted brands over the past few decades, and working together, we’ll be even stronger, with tremendous clout in the marketplace,” Coile said.

With the merger, Coile joins Long & Foster’s leadership team, taking on a new role as senior vice president of regional development for the Baltimore, Eastern Shore and Western Maryland region. He will report to Cindy Ariosa, who serves as senior vice president and regional manager of the company’s offices in its Baltimore, Eastern Shore and Western Maryland region.

“Jon’s a tremendous asset to Long & Foster and all our associates, and we’re thrilled to welcome him and the Champion team to our family,” said Ariosa. “Our combined teams will sell over $1.5 billion in real estate annually in Anne Arundel, Caroline and Queen Anne’s counties—results that prove the value of our brokerage for both agents and clients alike.”
