Expands company’s presence along southern Jersey shore

Long & Foster Real Estate, the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, today announced that it has joined forces with Atlantic Beach Realty, a residential real estate brokerage and resort rental company in Stone Harbor, N.J. Going forward, Atlantic Beach Realty will operate under the Long & Foster brand at its existing location in Stone Harbor.

“We’re pleased to welcome Atlantic Beach Realty to Long & Foster and to expand our presence in the southern New Jersey market,” said Terry Spahr, regional manager of Long & Foster’s Delaware, Eastern Shore and New Jersey regions. “Through our regional growth, we create the premier place for real estate agents to build their careers and help their clients to achieve their homeownership dreams.”

Founded in 1986 by Ron Giordano, Atlantic Beach Realty specializes in residential real estate sales of vacation and second homes. Its team has a wealth of experience along the Jersey shore, primarily focusing their business in the Stone Harbor and Avalon communities. In addition to its general brokerage business, Atlantic Beach Realty also manages a number of resort and vacation rental properties along the shore, and Long & Foster will assume this management role going forward through its Vacation Rentals division.

“Joining a respected and well-known independent organization like Long & Foster presents an extraordinary opportunity for both the team at Atlantic Beach Realty and our home buyers and sellers,” said Giordano. “With the powerful Long & Foster brand, as well as the training, marketing and technology support it provides and its exclusive affiliation with Christie’s International Real Estate, we’re well positioned to exceed our clients’ expectations when it comes to buying, selling or renting vacation homes in southern New Jersey.”

Giordano will remain with Long & Foster as the Stone Harbor office’s broker, working with Spahr and Mike Mavromates, who leads Long & Foster’s Avalon, N.J., office. Giordano will be joining the R.J. Soens Group when he comes on board at Long & Foster, and three of his fellow Atlantic Beach Realty agents will also become part of Soens’ team. Giordano began his real estate career in the early 1980s with Soens’ uncle at the Avalon Real Estate Agency, which Long & Foster acquired in March 2013. In joining the R.J. Soens Group, Giordano is returning to his roots and looks forward to working with Soens, whom he’s known for several decades and considers one of the top real estate professionals on the island.

The acquisition of Atlantic Beach Realty aligns with Long & Foster’s overall growth strategy and expands the company’s presence along the southern New Jersey shore. With the addition of Atlantic Beach Realty, Long & Foster now has over a dozen offices in New Jersey. The company also serves as the exclusive affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate throughout the southern New Jersey market where Atlantic Beach Realty is based.

“Long & Foster strives to serve as the No. 1 choice for home buyers, sellers and vacationers in Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, and the addition of Ron and his team at Atlantic Beach Realty helps position our company, our agents and their home buyers and sellers for continued success along the Jersey shore,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Together, we will ensure that our combined real estate forces continue to uphold the strong tradition that has allowed our company to grow and succeed.”

Joe Amatangelo, president of Long & Foster’s property management and vacation rentals divisions, agreed. “Atlantic Beach Realty’s exceptional knowledge of vacation and resort rentals will further enhance the high quality of service that Long & Foster already provides its clients, and with their knowledge of the shore, as well as our expert marketing, training and technology, we’re sure to continue growing and building our business in the region,” Amatangelo said.
