The Long & Foster Companies, parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate, will host its 20th annual Community Service Day on June 7. The annual community service event allows thousands of sales agents and employees from across the company’s more than 220 offices to serve their community for a day. In past years, these activities included cleaning up, refurbishing and repairing nearby parks, schools, shelters, homes and day care centers, and providing other assistance to local organizations that offer crucial services to the community.

This year, the staff at Long & Foster’s Chantilly, Virginia, headquarters will support Cornerstones, an organization that works to provide assistance to those in need in Northern Virginia, and the American Heart Association. They will collect donations to create bedtime snack kits for children in Cornerstones’ programs and fundraise for American Heart Association.

“Since our founding nearly 50 years ago, we’ve been dedicated to giving back to the communities in which we live and work, and our annual Community Service Day event is one example of how we do that,” said Jeffrey S. Detwiler, president and chief operating officer of The Long & Foster Companies, parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Community Service Day allows our team to make a positive impact on our local communities, and our agents and employees thoroughly enjoy this opportunity to contribute their time and effort. Whether it’s through our annual Community Service Day or one of our other charitable projects, we’re truly glad to give back.”

In addition to its dedication to serving the community, Long & Foster Real Estate is committed to the success of its sales associates and is an industry leader in providing the latest and best tools, technology and training. For more information, visit www.LongandFoster.com.
