Jackie Thiel to manage operations, Greg Scott to head branch services

Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc., the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, today announced that it has named Jackie Thiel as Senior Vice President, General Brokerage Operations, and Greg Scott as Vice President, Branch Services. Both Thiel and Scott will join Long & Foster’s new General Brokerage Operations leadership team led by Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate.

“Jackie and Greg have already effected significant positive change at Long & Foster, and I’m thrilled to have them play a leading role in our new General Brokerage Operations team,” said Gary Scott. “Not only will the team enable Long & Foster to better support our real estate agents and branch managers in their day-to-day business, but also it will help us ensure our company’s and our agents’ continued success in this thriving market.”

Thiel brings to her new role more than 20 years of experience in real estate sales and management, most recently working as Long & Foster’s regional manager and vice president for the Southwest Virginia, Hampton Roads and Richmond regions. There, she focused on deploying effective sales growth and recruitment strategies to position the regions for ongoing success. Thiel will employ her expertise in these areas of agent development and business growth in her new role as she leads Long & Foster’s brokerage operations, including strategic mergers and acquisitions.

Greg Scott has also been a longtime member of the Long & Foster team and previously served on the leadership team at Long & Foster’s No. 1 real estate sales office, Bethesda Gateway, which achieved more than $1.2 billion in sales volume in 2013. There, he worked closely with the office’s nearly 250 agents, supporting their business development efforts by providing them with effective marketing and technology training. In his new role, he will directly support the branch management and sales associates at Long & Foster’s more than 180 sales offices.

Greg Scott and Thiel will be based out of the company’s Chantilly, Va., home office. For more information, visit www.LongandFoster.com.
