Long & Foster agents and employees in the Washington, D.C., area gathered together on Dec. 11 to host a holiday party for families at the New Beginnings Family Shelter. The event was part of Long & Foster’s 2019 giving back initiative, supporting homeless children and families in the District.

The event space was transformed into a winter wonderland where children were able to participate in holiday arts and crafts, decorate cookies, play games and visit with Santa. A turkey dinner and seasonal sweets were served, and many people attended.

Volunteers came from Long & Foster’s Woodley Park, Chevy Chase Uptown, Georgetown and Capitol Hill offices. Organizers from Long & Foster said they were thrilled with the support they received for the event and thankful to everyone who took part to make the wonderful party possible.

“Thank you again for your support and investing in the families we serve,” said Willie Moore, program assistant at the New Beginnings Temporary Family Shelter. “The children in our program are talking about how excited they were to see Santa and enjoyed the celebration so much.”
