Theresa and Douglas Gardiner of The Maryland Group sponsor Frederick’s first Designers’ Show House

Theresa and Douglas Gardiner of The Maryland Group of Long & Foster Real Estate are proud sponsors of the first Designers’ Show House in Frederick, Maryland. The event will benefit the Weinberg Center for the Arts, one of the region’s premier performing arts venues, offering film, music, dance and theatre.

The Designers’ Show House is located at 313 West Second Street in Frederick. Known as Thomas House, the historic home was built in 1950 and was owned by the same family until 2018. Each room has been decorated by top local interior designers.

The Maryland Group of Long & Foster is an award-winning team of professional Realtors. The group was recognized in 2018 by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in the nation. The team heavily focuses its efforts on integrating leading technologies and marketing tools to ensure its clients are equipped with the information and assistance they need to find their next home or investment property.

The Gardiners share a love of restoring old homes, while preserving the home’s historic elements. As members of the Weinberg Center’s Tivoli Society, the Gardiners thought it would be a perfect fit to restore this historic home back to its former glory and have the proceeds from the event benefit the Weinberg Center for the Arts.

“Creating the show house allows us to give back to our community. We can share our renovation of this historic home with our great city and raise money for a worthy cause all at the same time,” said Theresa Gardiner. “Our local interior designers will showcase their talents and sell their furnishings and décor, while the ticket proceeds will go to the Weinberg Center for the Arts. It’s truly a win-win for all.”

Tickets for Frederick’s Designers’ Show House are $25 per person. Visitors can tour the home Thursdays through Sundays, from June 13 to 23. There will be an opportunity to meet the designers and get a first look of the home at the premier party on June 12.  Tickets for the premier party are $50 per person.  All proceeds from ticket sales go to the Weinberg Center for the Arts.

The home will be listed for sale by The Maryland Group of Long & Foster Real Estate following the event.  For more information on the sale of the property, contact Gardiner at Theresa.Gardiner@longandfoster.com or at 301-693-5408.
