Top-producing Realtor brings over 20 years of experience in D.C. market

Long & Foster Real Estate, the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, welcomes Kornelia Stuphan to its Georgetown office in Washington, D.C. Stuphan brings to her new position with Long & Foster over 20 years of experience in the Washington, D.C., residential real estate market, as well as a reputation for helping buyers and sellers to achieve their real estate goals.

Upon starting her real estate career in 1996, Stuphan quickly advanced to the top, earning recognition as one of the leading Realtors in the Washington metro area and in the country. She is a trained and certified life coach—a background that enables her to help clients with the process of transitions and discerning what their needs are when going through a real estate transaction. Her skills in listening, asking the right questions, negotiating and providing her clients with a seamless, enjoyable experience have also earned her the highest praise from her clients and colleagues.

“As a Realtor in the Nation’s Capital for over two decades, I’ve worked with many Long & Foster associates, and I’ve always been impressed by their exceptional service and dedication to their clients, as well as the company’s commitment to its agents’ success,” said Stuphan. “I’m confident that with the backing of Long & Foster, as well as the firm’s marketing and technology tools, including its exclusive affiliation with Christie’s International Real Estate, I’ll have the ability to help my clients accomplish even greater success in real estate.”

In addition to her real estate career, Stuphan spent several years working for the commercial office for the Embassy of Austria, as well as in the financial industry where she was vice president for business development at Merrill Corporation.

“We are thrilled to have Kornelia join our team of highly trained professionals,” said Roger Carp, branch manager of Long & Foster’s Georgetown office. “The combination of Long & Foster and Kornelia’s unique skills and knowledge will no doubt provide the highest level of service to local buyers and sellers.”

Fluent in English and German, Stuphan was born and raised in Salzburg, Austria, before moving to Washington, D.C., in 1989. She holds a master’s degree in liberal arts from the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg and a master’s degree in organizational management from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

“Long & Foster continues to lead the way with cutting-edge tools and technology, which attracts top real estate professionals such as Kornelia,” said Larry “Boomer” Foster, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “With the best-trained, best-equipped agents, Long & Foster will continue to help Washington, D.C., area buyers and sellers reach their homeownership goals for years to come.”
