Experienced real estate design and sales professional to take on new role
John Coplen has been named managing broker of Long & Foster | Christie’s International Real Estate’s Logan Circle office. Coplen brings significant career achievements to this new position.

As co-founding partner of Alter Urban Architects, an award-winning full-service architectural design and consulting firm with features in publications such as Dwell and Home & Design Magazine, Coplen has more than 15 years of experience in residential and commercial property design and construction in the Washington, DC metro area. In 2011, Coplen joined Evers & Company, Inc., a Long & Foster company, as a sales agent. He brought a unique design-first approach to his real estate career and quickly became one of the top sales agents for the company.

A native of Lima, Ohio, Coplen has lived in Washington, DC since 1997 and currently resides in the Eckington neighborhood. He received a master’s degree in architecture and planning from The Catholic University of America. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his dog, cooking, skiing, and taking trips to the beach.
