Jim Glass, a sales associate with Long & Foster Real Estate’s Lynchburg office, has earned the Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation.

Awarded by the SRES Council, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors, the SRES designation recognizes Glass as an expert in servicing and understanding the needs of the fast-growing senior market.

“Having an agent with this designation can bring peace-of-mind to the many families that are downsizing. There has been an influx of people moving into the area because of the growth of Liberty University,” said Bobbie Holman, manager of the Lynchburg office.  “Many families move here to be near their children and grandchildren.  Working with an agent who holds this designation provides our seniors with confidence that their needs will be met.”

Glass is married and resides in Lynchburg, Virginia. He has two grown children and four grandchildren. He attended Ferrum College and Lynchburg College.  He serves as Vice President for the Sleepy Oaks Villas Homeowners Association, is on the board of directors of the Lynchburg Tennis Patrons Association and is an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church.  Glass is a member of Lynchburg Association of Realtors and Virginia Association of Realtors. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, swimming and cycling.
