Jason Goodin, a real estate and home services professional for almost 15 years, has been named as the sales manager of Long & Foster Real Estate’s York-Peninsula office, located at 5007 E. Victory Blvd., in Yorktown, Virginia. Goodin began his real estate career with Long & Foster and he brings many years of local real estate knowledge with him to his new position.

Goodin started his real estate career in Newport News before moving into the mortgage industry, where he was a loan officer with Trust Mortgage and Wells Fargo. In 2005, he created Goodin Company, providing maintenance services to property management companies throughout the peninsula. His company merged with Blast Off Exteriors in 2008, which was later sold in 2015. After reactivating his real estate license in 2013, Goodin joined his mother’s company, Progressive Real Estate. Progressive Real Estate joined forces with Long & Foster in 2015.

“I am thrilled to begin my new role as sales manager of the York-Peninsula office,” Goodin said. “Long & Foster is a company that strives to provide the best support, resources and technology available to all of its agents. I’m looking forward to being a part of that support team, helping agents to succeed in their careers so they can provide the best service possible to their clients.”

“We are very pleased that Jason is taking on this new role with Long & Foster,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “He is known among his clients as being trustworthy, friendly and hardworking and we know he’ll use those skills to help the agents at the York-Peninsula office build their careers. His love of real estate and helping others combined with his leadership skills will help our continued growth in the Hampton Roads region.”

Goodin holds numerous advanced real estate designations and has earned his associate broker’s license. In 2014, he received the Outstanding Sales Achievement Award from the Virginia Peninsula Association of Realtors (VPAR) and in 2015, he received the Outstanding Salesmanship Club Award from VPAR.

Originally from Michigan, Goodin moved to the Hampton Roads area when he was 12. He grew up in the Beechwood and Denbigh areas and learned about the real estate industry from a young age, as his parents were both real estate agents. Additionally, Goodin’s wife, Debbie, and his brother and sister-in-law are real estate agents. He and his wife have two sons, four dogs and a cat.
