The four lots, which range from 1.5 to 2.5 acres, are zoned as R-1, including grandfathered access easements.

Listed by the Eric Stewart Group, the property was originally owned by Samuel Millard, owner of the Colvin Run Mill.

The property at 10231 Leesburg Pike in Vienna, Virginia, has a well-recorded history dating back to 1915. The parcel was once owned by the Millard and McGavin families, and includes four adjacent lots, a house, a garage and a guest house. Ideal for a builder, the property is listed for $3.5 million by the Eric Stewart Group of Long & Foster Real Estate.

Prior to the Samuel Millard purchase of this acreage in 1915, his parents Addison, Emma Millard and family moved from Maryland bought the Colvin Run Mill in 1883. They operated the Mill during its most successful years of operation, and the family became known for their leadership in the community, establishing a community cemetery and hosting gatherings for area children, since they themselves had a large family. The Millards also helped community members store their important documents in the Mill’s safe, as the closest bank that could hold them was in Herndon.

After Addison Miller’s untimely death in 1898, Emma Millard continued operating the Mill as a female sole proprietor with the help of two of their sons, Samuel and Alfred. Samuel Millard continued to operate the mill until he sold it in 1934. During this time, Samuel and Olive Millard built and operated their 40-acre family farm named Windswept from 1920 to 1969, which was located at 10217 Colvin Run Road.

In the early 1940’s, the Samuel Millard family’s 40-acre farm was split for the realignment of Leesburg Pike, also known as Route 7. The parcels being sold today are the last acreage having belonged to the Millard and, later, the McGavin family. The four lots, which range from 1.5 to 2.5 acres, are zoned as R-1, including grandfathered access easements.

The Silver Line of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority is less than four miles away, and Route 7, Route 267 and Georgetown Pike are all nearby, making McLean and Washington, D.C., reachable within minutes.
