HGTV’s Doory Awards Feature Four Long & Foster Luxury Homes

Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc., the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, announced that four of its luxury listings have been included in the 2014 HGTV’s FrontDoor Doory Awards. Those nominated include three homes in Maryland and one in Washington, D.C. The Doory Awards are HGTV FrontDoor’s “ultimate house hunt” where readers get to take virtual tours through homes and vote for the ones they love most.

Folly Quarter Manor, listed by Long & Foster’s The Northrop Team, is a historic property in Ellicott City, Md., that was once owned by Charles Carroll, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. It is listed in the Historic category of the Doory Awards. The main residence on the property was built in 1936 by the owners of Pimlico Race Course. The prestigious estate includes more than 8,000 square feet of living space, an 1,800-square-foot guest cottage, a care-taker cottage, a 10-stall horse barn, tennis court, in-ground pool, and much more. Also listed by The Northrop Team in the Doory category of Waterfront, is a Cape Cod-style luxury waterfront home located in Ocean City, Md., that includes 10,000 square feet of living space and seven bedrooms. The home was a 2010 National Association of Home Builders Gold Award Winner and has southwest exposure on the bay making for beautiful sunsets.
