Heather Placer, CCIM, Appointed to the Mid-Atlantic CCIM Chapter Board as President-Elect

Heather Placer, Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), and a commercial sales specialist with Long & Foster Real Estate’s Village of Midlothian office, has been appointed by the Mid-Atlantic CCIM Chapter to serve as President- Elect. The board is responsible for the oversight of the Mid-Atlantic region, consisting of commercial agents from Virginia, D.C., West Virginia and Maryland.  Placer will serve on the committee for 2019.

“We always encourage our agents to serve on leadership committees,” said Brian Haug, Long & Foster senior vice president, who oversees operations in Richmond, Hampton Roads and Southwest Virginia. “Heather is a leader in the commercial real estate industry and we look forward to the positive contributions she will bring to the board in 2019.”

A Realtor since 2016, and an appraiser since 1998, Placer has been affiliated with Long & Foster’s Village of Midlothian office since 2016. She is involved with several organizations including the Appraisal Institute where she served as the 2018 President of the Virginia Commonwealth Chapter. Placer holds the MAI and SRA appraisal designations from the Appraisal Institute.

Placer has been an active member of the Richmond Association of Realtors for three years and serves on the awards committee. She also serves on the National Association of Realtors (NAR) Real Estate Valuation Committee as a commercial representative and the NAR Commercial Committee as a member-at-large.

Placer graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Master of Science in Real Estate Valuation and from Old Dominion University with a Master of Business Administration.
