Steven Hovey has joined Fonville Morisey Realty as a full-time sales associate of the Vandora office.

Hovey has a broad background in computer science, having worked for various aerospace and defense companies and universities. Following the 9/11 tragedy, he went to work for the Transportation Security Administration to set up and manage their learning management system. He retired from the TSA after 12 years and moved to North Carolina to launch his real estate career.

In his spare time, Hovey is active in amateur radio involving emergency preparedness, playing the guitar, singing in local choral groups and barbershop, and family history research. He and his wife have five daughters and 10 grandchildren.

Hovey is a member of the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors, the North Carolina Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.
