Event Raised Over $9,100 for the Realtor Foundation of Wake County

FM Lending hosted its 16th annual Invitational Charity Golf Tournament on May 14 at Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh, N.C. With the support of the tournament’s sponsors and participants, FM Lending raised over $9,100 for the Realtor Foundation of Wake County (RFOWC)—the largest single donation to date.

RFOWC is the volunteer division of the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors. It works with area nonprofits that provide housing and healthy living services to local families in need. The foundation has donated over half a million dollars toward community outreach efforts since 2007, and the contributions from the FM Lending tournament help further these efforts.

“We could not be more proud of the agents in our Fonville Morisey family for their contribution and dedication to the community and their families. We thank them and all the mortgage consultants at FM Lending for their work in making this event such a success,” said Brad Dinkel, vice president and area manager of FM Lending.

Sponsors included PennyMac, The Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Title, HMS Home Warranty, Long & Foster Insurance, Midtown Fence, Ragsdale Liggett, Glover Corporation, Armstrong Relocation, Chick-fil-A Downtown Raleigh, Community Properties and All American Relocation.

The tournament was played as Captain’s Choice with four-player teams. Prizes were distributed to the first, second and third place teams, as well as the longest drive and closest to the pin. They also held a chipping contest, and each player got a chance to shoot for a hole-in-one to win $25,000.
