Dee Dee Miller, an associate broker with Long & Foster Real Estate’s Severna Park office, has been elected to the position of President-Elect for 2019-2020 of Maryland REALTORS.
The President-Elect is responsible for assisting the president throughout the year and working alongside Maryland REALTORS staff to develop and implement beneficial programs for the membership in addition to extensive advocacy efforts. Miller will serve in this capacity for one year before ascending to the position of president in the fall of 2020.
“I am excited to continue on my journey volunteering within the industry in this next phase,” said Miller. “Interacting with my fellow REALTOR members, both locally and nationally, provides a hands-on education like no class or sales transaction can offer. Real-life conversations within the committees about legislative issues, public policy, and all things real estate are truly the best enrichment. No CE class can teach you all the ins-and-outs and different perspectives gained when sitting at the table with a group of your peers, all while giving back to an industry that brings so much to so many.”
A REALTOR since 1999, Miller has been affiliated with Long & Foster’s Severna Park office since 2000. Miller served as the Maryland REALTORS Treasurer (2016-18) and Secretary (2019) and is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and earned the designation, Graduate, REALTOR Institute (GRI) as well as a member of The Long & Foster Companies Gold Team.
Miller has been an active member of Maryland REALTORS for 20 years, having served on numerous committees including finance, statewide forms, grievance, and legislative.
Originally from Virginia, Miller is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and resides on Kent Island with her husband Chad, and her two boys, AJ and Michael, and her black lab, Cooper.
