Long & Foster Real Estate welcomes David DeVane to its Chesapeake, Virginia office.

“We are very excited and fortunate to have David join our team of highly trained professionals,” said Candy Dennis, manager of the Chesapeake office. “The combination of Long & Foster and David’s unique skills, knowledge and experience will no doubt provide the highest level of service to local buyers and sellers.”

“We’re so pleased to announce David has joined the Long & Foster family,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “As the No. 1 brokerage in the Mid-Atlantic region, we operate with an agent-first mentality. We look forward to the energetic partnership David has created by deciding to join the industry-leading Chesapeake office and our company.”

After serving in full-time ministry for over 25 years, DeVane decided to join Long & Foster.  Growing up around construction and job sites, DeVane’s interest in real estate started early. “My dad was a general contractor, so as a child, I saw first-hand how all the trades work together, said DeVane. “This came in handy after I got married and my wife and I started flipping houses.”

DeVane continues to serve his local church but is already busy serving Long & Foster customers who are looking to buy, sell, rent, relocate, invest or flip properties. DeVane holds a degree in music education from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.  He resides in Chesapeake with his wife Amber, and their three children.
