“I am very excited to embark upon this new journey with such an awesome and passionate organization, and for the opportunity to learn from incredibly skilled and experienced agents, such as Jeremy Johnson and Jim Jones,” Field said.

“The dynamics of today’s residential real estate market are constantly changing. Participating in our training programs has provided Alex with the right tools to meet those changing dynamics,” said Gary Scott president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “We welcome Alex to Long & Foster, a company that has helped local buyers and sellers reach their homeownership goals for more than 45 years.”

Field graduated from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia, and received his bachelor’s degree in biology with an emphasis in environmental science, chemistry and modern science in 2009. Since 2011, Fields has worked for CMA CGM America in Norfolk, Virginia. As a marketing analyst, Field created market ID database, a tool used company-wide to analyze weekly performance versus competitors and assisted in the creation of chassis idle database, which reduced the number of chassis idles in the United States by 41 percent. Fields has extensive experience creating comprehensive seasonality forecasting reports, ritually monitoring and validating contractual dates, identifying cost savings and sustaining rental expenses with weekly invoices in excess of $5 million as a chassis analyst.

A Virginia Beach resident, Fields enjoys spending time on the water, teaching friends and clients how to SurfFish and building custom fishing rods for his company Magictail Bucktails.
