Ray Milne, a sales associate with Long & Foster Real Estate’s Shore Drive-Coastal office, has earned the Military Relocation Professional (MRP) certification.
Awarded by the National Association of Realtors, the MRP certification recognizes that Milne has completed studies to learn how to assist current and former members of the military with housing. Individuals who receive the MRP certification can help military service members to search for the housing that best meets their needs while also benefitting from the various military offerings and support available to them.
“I’m excited and proud to have completed the MRP certification course this month. The MRP designation, as well as taking the ‘Did You Serve’ pledge, reflects my absolute commitment to provide military service members and veterans with the highest level of service which includes the entire Long & Foster family of Realtors and services,” said Milne.
“The active duty military family is particularly susceptible to the stress of moving because of the frequency of their change necessitated by the needs of the service. Is there a deployment associated with the move? Will a promotion in the next year or two require only a short tour or an extended tour? Will this move be two, three or four years – and where to next? Not to mention, the overriding concern in many cases – not having a clue about the area, roads, schools, churches and neighborhoods they’ll be moving to. Exciting? Yes. Stressful? Absolutely. Every time,” Milne said.
“Assisting our heroes, for me, is merely an extension of my 30 years of active duty service.” added Milne. I look forward to this new challenge to serve those who previously served and those who are still serving to keep this great nation safe.”
